- The Opportunity
Data has become increasingly important at lalamove to help make both high-level decisions and operational decisions. You will be working closely with the global operations team to analyze and produce charts, graphs, and models to help study user and driver behaviors. In addition, you will be required to present data to city managers and new, existing, and potential investors. Your role will consist of discovering trends, producing algorithms to better make our data gathering and operations more efficient, as well as helping predict future demand. You will have the opportunity to be the primary driver of our algorithm and technology decisions.
You may ultimately build out your own team to help the company continue to make crucial data-driven decisions.
What We Seek:
? Passion for numbers and big data: you live and breathe numbers and love
analyzing them. You love to learn new technology, particularly those that
relate to data
? Self-Starter: a strong entrepreneurial spirit and work ethic will be critical for
this role as you will need to discover and create new algorithms. Setting
goals and metrics are key parts to the role
? Problem solver: you are a problem solver with strong critical thinking skills. As data becomes more complex, it is important that we are able to continue
to make sense out of it to make data-driven decisions
? Strong communicator: you will need to be able to “tell a story” to city
managers and product managers. You can make recommendations based
on your findings to help solve problems
Preferred Qualifications:
? At least 3-5 years of experience in an analytically intensive role such as
business intelligence, finance, or strategic planning
? Math, Economics, or Statistics degree preferred
? Comfortable programming in Python, R, Matlab, or any other statistical
programming language
? Ability to understand complex business problems and break down analytics
projects into a structured approach
? Comfortable working in a dynamic environment tackling challenging problems
? Solid understanding of the SQL language
? Good command of both written and spoken English and local language
? BONUS: experience working with and creating pricing models and strategies - 工作地點：
